Description

Notes:
- This database collects information on Japanese literary “works,” and not on “books.” When a book is an anthology of ten short stories (works), there will be ten separate data.
- The database does not cover all Japanese literary works translated into other languages in the world, so using it as the basis for compiling statistics may not always be appropriate.
- The database is continually maintained, with new items added, and existing information checked and corrected. We welcome information for adding titles yet to be included and correcting errors. See the “User’s Guide” on the criteria for inclusion of data, and contact us at the email provided.
