About Use
Terms of Use
- Only faculty and staff may use this service.
- Not available for students only.If you allow students to use the recording room as part of a class or for other purposesA faculty member must be present.
- The first time you use the system, the staff of the Educational Informatization Support Office will provide you with basic instructions on how to use the system.
- After that, the actual recording, editing, etc. is the responsibility of the user.
- This facility is used by a variety of people.Be sure to return the equipment to its original condition after use to avoid disturbing other users.
Food, drink and garbage
- Eating and drinking are prohibited in the recording room.
- Recording rooms are not subject to cleaning. Please leave the room in the same condition as you rented it, leaving no trash behind.
Steps to Use
- Please make a reservation in advance and receive a key to the 321 Recording Room at the Educational Informatization Support Office.
- If the room is used outside of our opening hours, we may specify another key delivery method.
- Please bring your own PC or borrow a "321 Recording Room PC" from the Educational Informatization Support Office.
- The "321 Recording Room PC" has the free audio editing software Audacity installed.
- For information on how to use "Audacity," please refer to online manuals on the Internet.
- Turn on the main power to the system and check the mixer settings according to the manual located in the recording room.
- If you want to import the sound source in "Audacity" and continue editing in "Audacity" later at home or elsewhere, please save the file as a "project file" on your own USB or other device and take it home. If you wish to generate a file for playback, please export it as an MP3 file, WAV file, or other format.
- After using the recording room, return the equipment to its pre-use condition and turn off the system according to the manual.
